Jax loves his Grandpa! They have great fun together, playing and building things. We just wish we all lived closer so that we could have more time together. Oh well - at least I get to see beautiful Seattle each year!!!

They are the Pairs National Champions of China TaiPei. They are AWESOME!!! We just love them and their family. They've taken us in and been so kind and patient with Jax. Jax adores Darryll and the his entire family. We feel blessed to know them...

This was Darren's birthday present. I surprised him with this photo. Doesn't sound like much, I know...but have you ever tried to have professional photos taken of a 3 year old and 1 year old Boxer? Aaarrgghh! We walked into the studio and in 30 seconds, Jax had broken one of the props and then Vinnie PEED on it. I thought I was going to die!!! By the time the shoot was over, I was dripping sweat. Those two keep me on my toes, that's for sure! In the end, it was worth it - we managed to get a few great shots of our two boys that we will cherish forever.

Ice-Skating Jax

A quick update!

All is well with Mr. Jaxon (and the rest of us). Sorry for the lack of update - things are just always, go, go, go!!! So, in a nutshell, we are very busy with Jax and his little activities. In February, he began ice-skating lessons (group and private). He loves it! It's a great source of exercise and with his great balance, he's doing really, really well! He had his 1st ice show on July 13th. He was a pirate and skated to, "Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho, A Pirate's Life for me..." from the Disneyland ride (which he loves). He looked so cute out there!

Jax also takes violin lessons, now. He began about 2 months ago after asking us to play for the past year. He's with an incredible teacher who has already taught Jax so much. He is such a good student, practicing with me daily. We're even playing simple duets with the piano. It's really neat to watch him learn and develop. It just happens right before your eyes!

Vinnie continues to do well and is Jax's best buddy. They are a crack-up together! Vinnie is proving to be a wonderful addition to our home and his sweet disposition and clown-like behavior always has us smiling. He's truly a special dog and we're so glad that he's part of our family. What blessed parents Darren and I are!!! We couldn't ask for more...

We took a quick trip to Phoenix in June to lounge by the pool and visit with friends and Jax and I are going to Seattle in August for a nice long visit with Grandpa and Grandma Sooz. As a family, we're traveling to Belize in November to spend some time in the rainforest and then a few days on an island, doing some swimming and snorkeling. We can't wait!!!
