Their Last Night Together

Jaxon loved his Buster so much! Those two were such a great team. What a loss we are dealing with!!!!! In this photo, I told Jaxon that Buster was going to be with Jesus and that he should tell him goodbye. He was so sweet, petting him gently, hugging and holding him. Jaxon was so good to Buster, even for a toddler. He will be a sad little boy for a while, missing his beloved doggie and friend.

Heaven has a new Angel - Goodbye to Buster...

At 1:00 today, our beloved and perfect Buster left us and joined our Heavenly Father in Heaven. What a hole we now have in our home. We're in shock but so grateful that he left us so peacefully and on his own terms. He had a tough week but was starting to pull through (we thought). I guess he decided it was time and so he walked into our bedroom and plopped down in his favorite sleeping spot. I was in there with him when he passed. He just slowed down his breathing and then I watched him do one of those awesome dog stretches where they just toss their head back and ssstttrrreeetttccchhh the best stretch ever. Then he just stopped breathing. I ran and got Darren who then put his hand on Buster's heart, which was still beating, faintly, and then we prayed over him and watched as his spirit left our world and moved into eternity. It was absolutely perfect, beautiful, peaceful, loving and typical Buster selflessness. Jaxon came in and said a goodbye and gave him one last hug. It was over.

We'll call you when we're ready, to those with whom we speak regularly. Darren just took Buster to our vet and his making cremation arrangements for our boy. We're going to try and pick up the pieces and face a life without the most loving, strong, perfect example of unconditional love there ever was. To those with pets, please, please go and give them an extra big hug today. We are all so very blessed to have them in our lives - they are such good things in our not so good world. God bless them all and God bless our beatuiful Buster......
