More Oktoberfest...

Niki's Dance-Card was full...

What a supermom! She danced up there with Jax and Joshua for awhile, and let me tell you, that's a lot of weight to hold, let alone swing around and dance with! Sheesh! The boys absolutely LOVED it and didn't want her to stop!

Oktoberfest Grub

This is what you get when you order a "hot dog" at Oktoberfest.

Happy Birthday to me.....at OKTOBERFEST!!!!

Can't imagine celebrating with better people or a better venue, than Alpine Village for the annual Oktoberfest celebration. We went on my birthday, the 29th, which was a Sunday and Family Day at Oktoberfest. Hmmmmm. Family Day at Oktoberfest? Well, nothing was different except that they had balloons for the kids, which proved exceedingly entertaining for our two little one's. The dance floor and a the balloons kept 'em busy all day! Niki, Jason, Darren and I kept busy drinking German beer and eating Bratwurst (well, I didn't eat the Brat's but I did have the beer!). The four "men" went out and did the Chicken Dance (Darren and Jason put the boys up on their shoulders) and Niki and I had fun just watching them and all the other people out there having fun. It was a great day and a perfect birthday....

Happy Halloween!

Mommy looks happy. Jax looks scared. Right when our neighbor took our picture, his skeleton/ghost went off into it's chorus of screams and boos. Poor Jax about came unglued! I felt so sorry for him! Anyway, he got a nice handful of candy for his courage under skeletal fire and that made him feel much better......

Trick or Treat

Tigger made it to 6 houses, had to be held for most of them (after the first one.....got a little frightened) and then called it a night (thank you Jesus!). He then assisted Buster and mommy with the trick or treater's that came to our house. He LOVED handing out candy, although he was a bit stingy! He wasn't crazy about a few of the rowdy kids who came running and screaming up to the porch. That's where big-brother Buster took over - he gave a polite growl and his best "if you know what's good for you, turn around and leave" look, and that's all it took. Most of 'em hightailed it out of our front yard, pronto, sans the candy hand-out! Teehee! Love that dog! Anyway, it was a great 1st Halloween and Jax was absolutely adorable in his little costume (and warm...it was cold out that night!).
