ARE YOU SITTING DOWN??????????

We have big news for you all! Are you ready? OK....here goes...................JAXON IS GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!!!!! We are once again "paper-pregnant"!!!! We have signed again with Nightlight Christian Adoptions and will be going back to Russia to bring home a baby boy to add to our already awesome family! Wait! Don't go!!! Sit back down and continue reading.....please! We know we asked for a lot of prayers and support during Jaxon's adoption, but we really need you all! We absolutely could not have done it without you! So, please don't abandon us - we promise not to ask for too much! We're very excited and much less stressed, this time around. We're thinking it should be about 12 - 18 months before we travel/receive a referral but once again, this is all God's timing, so who knows....

We have finished all of our homestudy paperwork (in record time...) and are just about done with our end of our dossier (also lickety-split...). We are awaiting our fingerprint appointment from the Department of Homeland Security so we can get cleared for another orphan-citizen and then everything goes to be translated, sent and then registered in St. Petersburg. After all of this, the llllloooooonnnnnggggg wait for a referral begins, but we aren't concerned about it at all. This time around, we have our little Jax to keep us busy and remind us of just how worth-the-wait he was and his soon-to-be little brother will be, too.

So, right off the bat, I will put out the first PRAYER REQUEST for Wild Baby #2.......let's all pray for his health, either in utero at this moment, or already born.....and the health of his birth mother, both physically and mentally as she prepares to let go of her most precious gift.

I've attached some pictures from the very first day we met Jax....November 1, 2005. What a day - it really reminds me of the beauty of adoption. God is so awesome....

Seattle trip - another success!

Jax and I had another fabulous trip to Seattle to visit with Grandpa Don and Grandma Sooz. We went out on a boat on Lake Washington and flew a kite, fed the ducks and watched a big bridge go up. We spent a day at the zoo and saw many wonderful animals, including Jax's favorite - the elusive "Bip-po" (hippo), elephants, tigers, zebra, giraffes, playful monkeys and many neat birds of prey. Mostly, though, we enjoyed just hanging out together, playing and exploring the incredible Washington State outdoors. Wow! So much green and so lush! Jax absolutely loved the flowers and pine cones, trees and slugs (yuck!). It was a fun trip and we're already planning our next one!

Jax's First Haircut!

Today, Jax had his first haircut, which was long overdue. He went to CoolCuts and had a great time! He sat in a big yellow car and got to wear a Superman cape (well...that's what we called it, at least). He watched an Elmo video while his stylist, April, did a fantastic job of cutting his hair and keeping it fun. We video taped the whole thing (of course...) and had a great time watching our big baby become a little boy in just a few snips of the scissors. What a difference a haircut makes!!! When he was done, he got to play with the train set they had for little ones and got to take home a balloon. Mommy and Daddy got this Polaroid picture of their big boy, along with a clear, plastic envelope of his cut hair - perfect for the baby book! We had such a fun morning and look forward to our next experiences at CoolCuts, as it was just perfect!
