A Kiss Goodbye...

...until next time. He melted his mother's heart each time he did this. He was grabbing Blondie by the halter after a while, pulling her into his big, wet, open mouth for more and more Jax kisses. What a moment!

Pretty boy...

...showing off for all the"ladies".... The barn is full of peacocks and there's nothing more beautiful than one of these fellows, showing off his stuff! Jax loved it!

Mary and Chief

Jax's first real ride in the saddle was with his Auntie Mary and her boy, Chief. What a time Jax had. He held the reins like Mary taught him and had a wonderful time up on Chief, who was a perfect gentleman.

Robin, riding instructor-extraordinaire...

...and the best friend anyone could ask for, not to mention Auntie to little Jax!

Dream come true.....well, at least for mommy!

I have been dying to introduce Jax to Blondie and all the horses out at Country Trails and Friday was the big day. It was perfect weather for a day at the barn and Jax had himself a BALL!!! That kid loves his horses, dogs, peacocks, and whatever other furry animal you throw at him. It was so great seeing him with my blonde girl, and of course, Blondie was an angel. She let Jax climb aboard and gently walked him around in the arena. He loved it! He was all cowboy and it was so neat to see him loving on Blondie. He gave her many kisses and pitched a little fit when we moved on up to Peacock Hill's barn to see our friend Mary. He didn't want to leave his Blondie!

Disneyland with my friends!

Jax had a wonderful day at the Happiest Place on Earth! He had his very good friends, Ryan, Calie and Riley McLaughlin to hang out with. We all enjoyed the Pooh ride (rode this one twice....it's a big hit), Small World and even had fun in the Enchanted Tiki Room, although Jax could do without those chanting tiki's on the wall......you know the one's with the moving eyeballs that look many directions at once???? Anyway, I had my best friend Linda to chit-chat with while the kids had one another - it was a perfect day!

Our handsome devil!

Happy Family

The three wild one's!

A Day in Dana Point

We had a wonderful lunch with Grandma (Shawn's mom) and Grandpa Dave (Shawn's mom's husband) in Dana Point this weekend. Jax was well-behaved, as always. He enjoyed his grilled cheese sandwich and french fries, but not as much as the blue crayon he had for dessert! The weather was perfect and after lunch we took a stroll around the harbor, chasing the pigeons and enjoying all the boats going by. Jax took a digger and scraped up his forehead but other than that, it was a perfect day!

More egg hunt...

First Egg Hunt!

Buster was a great helper today. We filled plastic eggs with Goldfish crackers but Jax could have cared less about what was inside - he loved the "hunt" and took it very seriously!!!

Career in refrigerator repair???

Fun day in the pool!

Jax had a great time splashing his dad and Buster (mom was safe behind the camera!).

Happy Easter, 2006!

We're so excited to celebrate Jax's first Easter! I'm pretty sure they didn't do much for the babies in the orphanage, so for Jax, this truly is his FIRST Easter! We're planning on an egg hunt in the backyard which will consist of plastic eggs filled with Goldfish crackers. He loves those and absolutely depises sweet things so why not? He'll probably drop most of them and then Buster can have a snack, too! I wanted to get a picture of him with the Easter Bunny but we all know how he is with "characters" (refer to January post at Disneyland!!!!!!). Well, God bless all of you during this blessed time as we remember what Christ did for us and the glory of His resurrection! Happy Easter!!!!!

Some pics of our first born!

Here's Buster, standing patiently in the hallway, waiting for Jax to come out from his bath. Most of the time I have to lock Bus out because he tempts Jax to stand up in the tub so Jax can play with him, which is a NO-NO!

A couple of Mad Bunnies!!!!

Buster was a much better sport than Jax on this one....

Slick!

Jax's hair is finally growing out from the Euro-buzz he was given at the orphanage, shortly before we came to bring him home. Now I can sort of slick it back....and he loves it!

New Sandals!

Jax has extra wide feet so buying shoes is a real treat. You find a pair you like, show it to the salesperson, then get the pity smile from them and...."I'm so sorry....we don't carry that particular shoe in an extra-wide....". Well, we have a few pair that aren't too funky and these sandals are a big hit with Jax!
